For those of you on Facebook, I’ve created a badly designed page (as of last night) for Project Swapfig. Please go and show your support by “liking” the page and spreading the word – I’d really like to see about 20 “likes” by the end of the week.
If you don’t already know about Project Swapfig: it’s a project I started back in September to create a hub for swapping and trading mini figures. You can read more about it in my initial announcement, but I can say that it’s been an ambitious and challenging project from the get-go.
What you may not know is that I’ve set a release date for the first working beta on May 1st 2013: around the time when S10 of LEGO’s Collectible Minifigures should be released. I’m putting the pressure on myself to make sure the site has the necessary functionality before that time.
I will also be starting a Kickstarter (or equivalent) project to raise some necessary funds to get this going, as well as trying to arrange some “perks” to encourage people to contribute.
That’s all for now, but if you’re interested at all in swapping/trading minifigures or the development of Project Swapfig, stay tuned to SilentMode.tv, join the Facebook page and keep an eye out on Twitter and Flickr.
