Barrel o’ accessories
Remember all those accessories that came with the set? Well now’s the time to dump most of them in the container.
Stool and tap
The first real build comes in the form of this stool and what appears to be a water tap. No more 24 carat gold taps, at least for now, in Heartlake City: this is a real country-style tap pumping fresh good-ole-boy water. Yee-haw and all that.
I like that the stool uses four Reddish Brown cones for the legs, which gives it a nice shape and looks fairly good. Try it with Tan cones and a White round tile.
The barn begins life with the 4×10 Tan tile and the Magenta bricks forming a wall, before putting the window and some inverted slope supports in place.
It’s only when the first of the White plates are added that everything begins to be held together; it was quite flimsy at this point.
A little bed of hay (I think) is conjured up with most of the Yellow parts, and the Tan plate is extended with a couple of 3×3 corner plates.
The leftover accessories – namely the bows – are added to the cupboard we make from the Medium Lavender cupboard and transparent door. We’ve also added some plant on the right.
Then we get to work on the roof, mainly formed using the Magenta slopes with a good foundation. We’ve also added a couple of makeshift formula bottles to the cupboard, which is a very nice touch.
The last two Medium Azure accessories are placed in the SNOT bricks, and they fit quite snugly.
Finally, the actual roof (made up of White plates attached to the “tab” parts”) is clipped to the Yellow handle plates on top.
